ND grad in front of the lens to maintain detail in the sky and a couple of seconds' exposure to capture trails of receding water.

Gorgeous!
Pity I've never been there despite living in Malta myself. Oh well. Great shot.

Thanks for the comment. You're missing out on a very picturesque spot on our tiny Island eh! I suggest you head there for a sunset shoot in winter though because Summer's not so good for snapping. I do a lot of coastals myself and I've quite a few posted here in DA; feel free to visit anytime you like.
Cheers

I can see you meant what you said to Nia when you said you were an avid horizon shooter. This is equisite. Or however you spell it.

The way you've cropped it and the lines behind them make the rocks feel like they've crawled out of the sea and are crawling toward me. Cool!

In another forum I actually titled this shot 'stepping stones'. Actually it's not cropped but captured in portrait format and my idea was to use the stones to fill in the foreground and give a sense of depth to the view. The water trails are the result of shutter speed adjustment and of course, nature providing the show :-)
Glad you like it,
Cheer
